We have provided the following information to help with your arrival into Brisbane, and navigation around the River City.

The Venue

Emmanuel College, within the The University of Queensland (UQ) will be hosting the 2017 Conference. UQ St Lucia Campus is located four kilometres south of Brisbane City, surrounded by Brisbane River.

Blessed with an enviable climate, Brisbane is renowned for its relaxed outdoor lifestyle, friendly locals and warm welcome. The city’s burgeoning cultural and events scene has a reputation for blockbuster shows, international sporting matches, unique performances and exclusive exhibits.

If your tastebuds tend to lead the way, you’re in luck. Brisbane’s bustling food scene is the talk of the country. Go for a stroll down a once-dormant laneway to fund authentic Italian fare. Grab your colleagues and head to a basement bar that’s been converted into an Asian street food market. Or get your wardrobe all wrapped up with a shopping spree in the city, home to new international retailers, cutting-edge Australian fashion and high-end luxury labels. Discover unique markets where up-and-coming local designers and collectors show their wares or sample fresh farm produce.

By nightfall, Brisbane comes to life. Revel in outdoor festivals, high-intensity sporting matches and eclectic nightlight or find out why Brisbane’s music scene is receiving all the hype. Desperate for some time out? Renew your sense of wonder right in Brisbane’s backyard. Cosy up to the fireplace in a country homestead, try a cellar door drop, or hike our mountain ranges in untouched rainforests and catch some of Queensland’s most breathtaking sunsets.
