Annual General Meeting of the Sydney Branch of the Australian Society for the Study of Labour History

The club is about 50 metres from the south eastern exit from Central Station.

Following the AGM at approximately 6.30pm

Harry Knowles

will present a talk entitled:

‘Passing the Baton: Fallon versus Dougherty and the struggle for control of the Australian Workers Union during the 1940s

Harry Knowles is a lecturer in the Discipline ofWork and Organisational Studies at the University of Sydney where he teaches in Management and Organisational Behaviour; Business and Labour History; Industrial Relations. He is also the Deputy Director of the Business and Labour History Group at the University of Sydney.

Light refreshments will be provided.

  • Reports from the President, Hummer Editor, Secretary, and Treasurer;
  • Election of Office Bearers for 2010/11
  • Discussions about future plans for the Branch.
